Metoprolol Tartrate Injection

METAVIT injection is used for:

1. Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack): It is often used in the early treatment of a heart attack to reduce the severity of the attack and prevent further damage to the heart.

2. Arrhythmias: It helps control certain types of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias), particularly when a rapid heart rate needs to be reduced.

3. Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): It can be administered in cases where oral medication is not possible, helping to lower blood pressure quickly.

4. Angina Pectoris (Chest Pain): It is used to manage chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart, particularly during acute episodes.

METAVIT is a beta-blocker, which works by slowing the heart rate, reducing the workload on the heart, and lowering blood pressure.
